For the record, considering the history between myself and Ryan, I felt I was kind of fair towards his GoFundMe yesterday
For those of you playing catch up, Reading has begun a GoFundMe for 15 thousand dollars, to help the Kids of his town of Dunkirk. Apparently he wants to give kids in the 6th grade new clothes.
I said it was an admirable goal but I had trouble believing that Reading was being genuine
And I do
Ryan has attempted other GoFundMe’s in the past, he tried for one to fund a Bigfoot documentary, one for a new FLIR camera and yadda yadda
Also he seems to be specifically targeting the Bigfoot community for the funds, which makes no sense to me at all. Surely as it is for the Kids, he should be posting it everywhere in any group
I don’t get it
He has also begun making numerous facebook posts, calling us cunts basically for not supporting him in his new endevour, hardly a charitable action. he is acting like an impatient child and in the immortal words of Steve Alcorn:
“geeze man, your gofundme has been up for 1 day. You can’t expect people to donate in one day and then get upset when they don’t. Be realistic. Perhaps most folks don’t have the extra cash laying around on a Wednesday when payday is usually Friday. Maybe some people donate to other causes. Maybe some people would rather donate to a cause that’s inn their hometown and not one far from home. You may be passionate about your cause but you can’t expect everyone to have the same passion especially when the cause is local to you and not to them. One more thing, your reaction about this gofundme thing isn’t helping you at all. It makes you look impatient and over reactive. It’s not giving folks who may otherwise have considered donating the confidence to choose your campaign. Insulting those you wish to benefit from probably isn’t the right course of action. Just sayin.”
It’s all a little suspect to me, I don’t trust him, He has hoaxed, lied and made fun of disabled dying children. I find it difficult to make the jump
My instincts tell me, that this is another one of his ploys and therefore I shall stick to my guns
It’s almost as bad as traveling to the location of a Bigfoot Hoax and finding a ton of Bigfoot evidence
